In March we make St. Patrick’s Day jokes about the luck of the Irish, and we wear green so that we don’t get pinched by mischievous leprechauns… Images of rainbows and pots of gold, and even turning entire rivers green! What’s so amazing is that adoption is a three-fold miracle. It is a miracle for the baby who is given a bright future. It is a gift for the adoptive family whose arms and heart now hold the precious baby they longed for. And it is the miracle of hope for a birth mother (or father, as you will see in the spotlight), whose life was in crisis and now have the support and wise counsel needed to have a fresh new start at life. And every time I see the sweet faces of the babies adopted through Building Arizona Families, the reality of the miracle washes over me all over again. It truly is a gift.
